Thompson makes annual Tech & Learning list

When it comes to using the power of technology to transform learning, Iowa State University's Ann Thompson is one of "The Big 10" nationally. So says the June issue of Tech & Learning magazine, which named Thompson -- a University Professor and founding director of Iowa State's Center for Technology in Learning and Teaching -- one of its "10 most influential people in ed tech for 2011."

ISU student teachers influence youth, educators, officials in Indonesia

In March, four Iowa State University students embarked on an experience that would forever influence their Iowa State experiences, future careers, and approaches to learning and teaching.

 

Through the Iowa State University teacher education program, Nick Miller, Rebecca Fillbach, Elisabeth Godfrey, and Joe Trpkosh completed their semester-long student teaching experience at the Sampoerna Academy in Palembang, Indonesia. Spring 2011 marked the inaugural Indonesian student teaching opportunity. Read more
