ISU ADVANCE Workshop with the Cornell Interactive Theatre Ensemble
Interactive theatre and facilitated dialogue from multiple points of view create a climate for participants that builds inclusion, fosters collaboration and gives participants knowledge and tools to bring back to their own work environments. CITE scenarios are multi-dimensional, revealing the dynamics of diversity issues, and also the dynamics of human interaction around those issues.

Sustaining the Academic Pipeline: Faculty of Color as Future Administrations
This is the fourth of a five-part workshop series designed to strengthen the pipeline of graduate students and faculty of color at Iowa State University. Speakers at the workshop will include Gloria Jones-Johnson, University Professor in sociology; Francis Owusu, professor and chair of community and regional planning; and Theressa Cooper, Assistant Dean for Diversity in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. All are welcome to take part in this exciting workshop series. The workshops will focus on issues and concerns salient to scholars of color and provide a unique opportunity to network and build mentoring relationships and collaborations with other scholars. Discussion Group: Coffee and Crucial Conversations

Coffee and Crucial Conversations will provide an opportunity for faculty and staff to dialogue about teaching inclusively at Iowa State University. The intent of these conversations will be to help build a stronger teaching community, create collaborative partnerships, and develop effective teaching practices for meeting the diverse needs of our students. Each month we will choose a topic based on input from our teaching community.
