Abstract: In Phase II, multi-disciplinary (AESHM, HDFS, Economics, and Landscape Architecture) team will complete, implement, and promote an interactive Rural Renaissance Community Index (RRCI) Website to (a) help prospective residents find human potential building communities, (b) derive pilot data for external funding proposals and (c) benchmark data for 128 Iowa communities regarding features attractive to prospective residents. $25,000 is requested. Through research and outreach, this project expands human potential through CHS strategic initiative of improving the quality of life for rural citizens and making communities attractive to new residents. The potential return-on-investment from the RRCI Website includes increased external funding, and further media attention adding to the prominence of the CHS and its scholars.
